Our Verification Standard
At SupplementPanda, our goal is to deliver clear, honest, and scientifically grounded information. Because the supplement industry moves much faster than research, marketing campaigns often exaggerate the benefits of ingredients. We use a structured review process to separate commercial claims from actual science.
Sourcing the Evidence
We evaluate health products using reliable, peer-reviewed resources. We do not rely on manufacturer press releases or promotional material. Our primary sources include:
- Peer-Reviewed Journals: Systematic reviews, randomized double-blind placebo-controlled trials, and meta-analyses indexed in databases like PubMed and MEDLINE.
- Regulatory Databases: Health announcements and safety warnings from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
- Public Health Authorities: Clinical summaries from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Office of Dietary Supplements, the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH), and MedlinePlus.
When assessing ingredients, we compare the doses in the commercial formula against the therapeutic ranges used in human trials. We explicitly call out formulas that are under-dosed or contain ingredients at levels that pose safety risks.
Our Fact-Checking Process
Every piece of content marked with our Verified badge has gone through the following steps:
- Source Mapping: All claims regarding efficacy, energy, mood, or physical performance are tied to specific, peer-reviewed human trials.
- Clinical Safety Vetting: We cross-reference the ingredients with drug-supplement interaction databases and check for contraindications for vulnerable groups (e.g., individuals with high blood pressure, pregnant women).
- Medical Vetting: Our clinically oriented articles are reviewed and approved by members of our medical review board (certified nutritionists, registered dietitians, pharmacists, and medical doctors) who are identified in the bylines.
- Accuracy Audits: We monitor official health advisories, product recalls, and new research to perform updates as needed.
